Today=Fun day that took my mind off of alot of things. Ok, ish. But still.
Every year Tommy and Julie Hicks go to Joyland with their kids, an amusment park type deal in Lubbock, not too big not too small. They invited me and my sister to go with us.
It was fun. I got sick. Didnt throw up, but I got sick. We were taking bets at lunch who was going to be the first one to throw up, and everyone voted me. I lost my team spirit after the 5th round on the Tilt-A-Whirl. The rollercoaster wasn't too bad, nice looking guy working it. The water slides were ok, nothing special. The log ride, I hate going down on, I feel the need to jump out when it goes WHOOSH! down. So I didn't get the full affect of the ride by having my eyes closed the entire time. Got soaking wet, but I didn't see any of it.
And the absolute highlight of my day!!!! We pull in to eat at Golden Corrall (I hope I spelled that right, oh well I won't get sued) And, my radar goes off, "PICTURE! PICTURE! TAKE A PICTURE!" Standing outside the doors are 6 very well dressed, and very good-looking, U.S. Soldiers. 3 sailors, dressed in their whites hats and all! And 3 regular army men, in casual camoflauge. I flock to them, like white on rice, flock to them. "Can I take your picture?!" So, I get a picture of all these guys, shake all their hands and tell them thank you for everything. And that was it. That was the best part of today. =D
And in Golden Corrall, the waiter in the section next to us looked exactly, and I mean EXACTLY, like James Lynn. Ask my sister, she will deny he did, but oh let me tell you he did. It was weird. I was just like, "Good thing there isn't a full moon."
Final Thoughts!!!:
A very special hello goes out to those men in uniform, and not just the 6 I took a tourist-like snapshot of today, all of you. All of you who serve our nation and help keep it free. Thanks, and God Bless! HOORAH!
Shelby and Austin's dad lost coolness points this morning when he wouldn't let them go to Joyland with me. Not cool Jeff, not cool. See if we let you watch V for Vendetta with us!
I already have a blog written for tomorrow. I am so far ahead I don't know what to do with myself!
I'm done now.
