and they stay, i should be a lawyer

I have a hidden talent. I could be a lawyer due to this hidden talent.

Anyways, my thought of the day is how badly I want to pull the broomstick out of lady justice's ass and beat her with it.

This afternoon a New Mexico jury convicted 16 year old Cody Posey in the shooting deaths of his father, step-mother, and step-sister, on former television anchorman Sam Donaldson's ranch.

This makes me mad.

If you have been following the trial as closely as I have from, start to finish (even though it's not pver yet), you might agree with me.

This was almost a crime committed in self defense. I believe they should have convicted him of manslaughter in the death of his step-sister and aquitted him on the charges of killing his father and step-mother, because basically they were sick and twisted individuals.

What triggered this was Cody's father's constant abuse and hatred towards him. Over 36 people came in a testified that Cody was being abused.

Certain evidence was not allowed in, like Paul Posey, Cody's father, his abuse towards animals. Now, a common characteristic of any killer is abuse towards animals. Think about what would have happened if Cody hadn't shot his father, would his father be the one on trial for killing his son? no one knows, but it is always a possibility. Everything is a possibility.

The incest pornography on the computer. It was father daughter incest porn. Paul Posy could have very well been sexually abusing Marilea, Cody's step-sister. Another thing no one will ever know, but it is a possibility.

The night before the killings, Cody's father tries to force Cody to engage in sex with his step-mother, Tryone. And when Cody says no, Paul burns him with a welding rod. His step-mother is laying naked in the bed encouraging him to come do it with her. Which is what supposedly drove him off the edge making him kill them all.

And from the beginning the prosecution had this thing about sentecing him as an adult while being tried as a juvenile offender, which basically means if a conviction comes back from the jury any kind of adult sentencing would be terminated so I have no idea why they ever have the option to sentence him as an adult. If they have the option to sentence him as an adult, they should have tried him as an adult in the first place.
They were also inches away from a mistrial. They handle this case very poorly.

Why Paul Posey had custody of Cody after his mother died is cracked up too. When Paul divorced his wife, Karla, he surrendered all parental rights and Karla got full custody of him. Karla died in a car accident when Cody was 10 and the court gave Paul Posey full custody of him. My immediate thought was since his father surrendered all parental rights to him Cody would go into foster care or to live with a relative.

Insane. I should be a defense attorney. My compliments go out to Gary Mitchell, Cody's defense attorney, he did an excellent job throughout this entire thing. If I ever need a defense attorney for some reason, I would definately call him.

And now I await the penalty phase. I am at the edge of my seat. I have turned into Nancy Grace.

That's all for now.

The valentine quest is on, I have it all figured out now. *Does battle cry.*

I'm done.
